19 June 2009

What a day! Amanda and I went to the temple and had a wonderful time. DJ and Kimball were waylaid by vehicle breakdown and may or may not be back tonight. Really - everything is going well. So nice to have Isaac and Sheila and their boys here. Such a special time for all of us!

I know I promised pictures - but it will have to wait. I'm trying valiantly to download a book. One that I really want to read (or listen to as the case may be). Hopefully I'll get it this time.

Primary Activity tomorrow and then DJ teaches Sunday School :) Should be fun! Have a great day!

18 June 2009

We had a great day yesterday and a fun day today. We went fishing today. Just for the fun of catch and release - they were too little. The girls had a great time. Isaac and Shelia headed out to Craters and we have yet to hear how that went.

We have a RS mother-daughter tonight. Should be fun! Amanda and I (and maybe Sue) are off to the temple tomorrow. So nice!

I'll try to do a longer entry soon - with pictures. I actually used my camera today!

17 June 2009

Memories of 12 years ago! We had a great day with Kimball. Even got her some new scriptures. I hadn't seen the little ones - very cute with a bag to match - and blue!

She is doing great and we're having a good time here. DJ has been driving all day - he started at 4:30 (I think) and still isn't home - almost 8pm.

It was fun seeing Taylor teaching little Isaac how to use a mouse and navigate pbskids.org - he's still getting the hang of it!

Kimball got to watch Into the Woods today and really enjoyed it. Amanda joined her. Such fun!

Well - it's been a long day - I'm tired. Hope it's been good for you. Later!

16 June 2009

We're having a brief respite from the rain....maybe we'll get some grass mowed :)
Wanted to share this cute pic with you (see above). This little guy moves so fast that it's practically impossible to get a clear picture of him. He sure is fun, though!

We're doing well - enjoying our time here. DJ went fishing with Chuck and Isaac last night. They caught some itty bitty fish. Better luck next time! Today he's driving to Rupert, I think. Kimball has a YW pre-camp tonight and is very excited. Some of the YW are coming to visit her just before the activity. Should be good! For her birthday treat she has decided on cheesecake! Should be tasty!

Hope your day is going great! Later!

15 June 2009

I really am sorry for the lapse in posting. We've had colds here - and I'm still recovering. Still busy with the girls and all - We've found some really great books that we've enjoyed listening to/reading. DJ and I mostly listen - Kimball reads. Juvenille Fiction! Anyway - if you want to know what I'm reading - I'm updating my goodreads listings to keep track. Easier that way. Email me and I'll get you as a friend on goodreads.

Got me thinking about the importance of a library. I think some people probably don't consider that an important thing - but to me it is very important. Such a center of knowledge! I'm missing my larger library district. Oh well! I've signed up for 2 libraries here. That helps.

We miss you too - Greenies :) My brother Jared is taking care of the yard (or supposed to be). If you see something ripe - feel free to pick it! First come, first served!

Kimball is so excited about her birthday this week and the upcoming girls camp. The ward is going out of it's way to make her feel welcome. DJ was asked today to sub for the gospel doctrine teachers next Sunday. I think he made too many comments in Sunday School :) It's on the importance of learning...and then the following Sunday we get to speak (the whole family) on the 12th Article of Faith/patriotism. So we're staying plenty busy. After our records get here - DJ will be sustained to a calling.

Well, that's about it for now. Hope you are doing well! Take it easy!

9 June 2009

So this is where things get interesting. The house goes on the market today. We had a great trip yesterday - which I really enjoyed (up to the last hour and a half). Had a wonderful lunch with my FIL - Dan. Thanks again! Then we went and finished cleaning/fixing things at the house. I figure we were there at least 3 hours - both of us working hard. So glad it's done! Anyway - then we had a nice night's sleep at Dan and Kaye's after a quick stop to see Nate & Tina. What a whirlwind trip. This morning we got up around 3 AM and heading back here. I drove for about an hour (in brownie) and then got so tired that I pulled off and slept for a couple of hours. That's a first for me - with or without kids. When I woke up I continued on and got here mid-morning. I'm officially taking it easy today. This is the view from the truck yesterday as DJ was picking up the nitrogen. Man! Those trucks are bouncy! You might also not know that hauling liquids is a whole different deal than solids. They slosh. It was a very interesting experience.

Sometime soon we will go through the storage looking for a few things - box 81, my camera battery charger, some piano books, and who knows what else. Otherwise the boxes stay packed! I know it sounds crazy - but we're living with a skeleton of what we had before and it's going ok. :) At any rate - everyone seems to be doing well. I just wish I could get my mom to slow down!

Now we wait for the house to sell - then we figure we'll find a place to rent. Hopefully we'll see the reason behind us being here. That's going to be really interesting. We've commented that it really feels like a family mission - living with so little in temporary housing. Just have to find what the Lord wants us to do :)

Well, hope that makes up for the scanty posts lately. We are all well and busy. Have a great day!

Church was interesting. We went to the temple yesterday. So nice! A funny thing happened this evening. We had FHE then scriptures and were saying prayers. In the middle of Kimball's prayer - Taylor tooted. Giggles broke out among most of the crowd. After Kimball finished, I was surprised to see my mom holding the laughs in. She certainly never laughed at our toots like that! She even quipped - "That wasn't the attic" - I'll leave it for her to explain that one :O)

We are heading to bed early - well sort of early as I am going back with DJ tomorrow to get brownie and finish the cleaning. I'm so lucky! I had planned for him to finish things. Oh well!

Have a great day!

5 June 2009

We've made it safely! And the best news of all - I found my camera! It was in DJ's laptop case. :) Silly! Plus - we've got wireless internet here! So - all in all it's going well. Still getting organized, and some car issues to deal with.....hopefully everything will be resolved soon. Everything's under warranty I think.

DJ is here for the weekend, then I'll go back with him and get our third car - brownie. It's brown. Some things I still need to find - Kimball's piano books, the digital converter box, etc. There's plenty of time to look.....later.

Today I got the girls registered for school - and it went well. They were all smiles and having a great time. They are loving their kitties and the freedom that the big yard brings.

Well that's about it for today. Hope you're doing well. More soon! Loves!
